The International Freeskiers & Snowboarders Association (IFSA) was established in 1996 by freeskiing pioneer Shane McConkey. McConkey believed that freeskiing needed an athlete driven governing body to ensure that the athletes had a voice in the development and governance of their sport. Today, the IFSA is centered on junior and adult big mountain freeskiing and snowboarding competitions.
The mission of the IFSA is to operate as the international sanctioning body for the sport of big mountain freeriding. The IFSA sets sanctioning guidelines that represent the needs and interests of freeride competitiors. With input from its members, the IFSA sets uniform guidelines for event execution and judging to ensure consistent competitions. Come join the IFSA today! Read More >>
