 Dear Freeskiers,
With over a decade of event production experience, Mountain Sports International (MSI) is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Freeskiing World Tour (FWT). The largest and longest running competitive Big Mountain Freeskiing tour in the history of the sport, the FWT features an unprecedented six stops including a Freeskiing World Tour Qualifier (FWTQ). With $20,000 cash per World Tour stop, the FWT boasts over $100,000 total tour payout.

All World Tour athletes planning to attend the World Tour Finals in Tignes, France next month must still register at www.tignes.net prior to arriving at the event.
The snow is falling in Tignes and this event will surely be the pinnacle of our tour. See you there!!!

Hello again everyone,
If you have not heard already, it is official, both the Columbia Freeride Les Arcs and The Heli Ride in Verbier have been canceled due to lack of quality snow....and just no snow in the forecast.
You can log onto both web sites for further info but we are all bummed that the weather just did not pull through for us this year. Both events will be on the IFSA World Tour again next season and we encourage you all to watch the weather in Europe because the tour finals are still set for Tignes, France on April 9-13th, 2007.
The Telluride Freeskiing Open kicks off next week on the Jan 8th. You can get details on all our US Series events by logging onto usfreeskiing.com. If you have questions that I can help with please reach me through the feedback link on this site.

| Event Info: LES ARCS FREERIDE CANCELED....."THERE IS JUST NO SNOW" |
 THIS JUST IN....Monday Jan 29th
Unfortunately for the sport of Big Mountain Freeskiing, our events are highly dependent on not just snow, but also a quality snow pack. Which Europe has neither. This is why the organizers of the Columbia Freeride in Les Arcs, France have decided to make the call and cancel this years event due to the poor snow conditions. More specifically..the lack there of.
Organizers and some local athletes skied the venues this morning only to see that most venues could barely accommodate skiing at all. After getting the latest 10 day forecast and seeing no signs of improvement, organizers felt it was necessary to make this decision.
Stay tuned for a Verbier update.

If you want to compete in the European events of the Freeskiing World Tour you must register online.
For Verbier go to www.verbierride.com
and
For Les Arcs go to www.ridelife.com to register.
Please spread the word that you can NOT just show up at the event expecting to compete, even if you are pre-qualified for the World Tour.
Remember to sign up for the IFSA - you must be a member to compete on the World Tour
