Also there has been a change to the JUNIOR FREESKIING TOUR. Stevens Pass "COWBOY UP" event is now an official JFT stop awarding FULL Points to athletes for the NA Overall. KIRKWOOD will host a ONE day event on Sunday, Feb 28th 2010. This event will award HALF points towards the overall NA title.

we are very excited to announce that on Saturday, Nov 14th in Salt Lake City and Monday evening Nov 16th in Sugar Bowl, CA we will be holding a Judges and coaches summit. we will be at the MSI warehouse in Salt Lake City at 10:00am on the 14th and at the Sugar Bowl Village Hall from 5-9pm on the 16th. This summit is actually a workshop for athletes, coaches and parents, as well as event organizers and ski area marketing and management personnel. Our goal is to inform and educate so that we can create qualified and informed judges. Our goal is to educate qualified athletes and individuals so that we may diversify and increase our resource for freeskiing judges. We want to provide information for athletes, parents and coaches so that there is a clear understanding of our criteria and our goal to produce and encourage safe and quality events.

The IFSA has its own group on "Facebook". we will keep athletes connected through this group and will post news and share information about events, special announcements and much more.

With over a decade of event production experience, Mountain Sports International (MSI) is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Freeskiing World Tour (FWT). The largest and longest running competitive Big Mountain Freeskiing tour in the history of the sport, the FWT features an unprecedented six stops including a Freeskiing World Tour Qualifier (FWTQ). With $20,000 cash per World Tour stop, the FWT boasts over $100,000 total tour payout.

It has been almost a week now since I returned home from Alaska. It is hard to absorb a blow as losing a fellow friend and free skier like we all did last week. A roller coaster of emotions over come me when I think about the entire season of our freeskiing events and journeys. Beautiful people in beautiful places. Inspiring individuals sharing exciting lives. when we live large lives like we sometimes do...Large things happen. The largest of things right now is the loss of John Nicoletta. Our prayers and sympathies go out to John's Parents and family and the friends he so enthusiastically shared his life with. His smile and spirit will be greatly missed and admired.

MOUNTAIN SPORTS INTERNATIONAL EXPANDS 2008 SUBARU U.S. FREESKIING SERIES WITH EVENTS AT ALYESKA, ALASKA, AND CRESTED BUTTE, COLORADO.

Salt Lake City UT, December 27, 2007—Blazing into its third year, the Subaru U.S. Freeskiing Series (USFS) and Freeskiing World Tour (FWT) have become the largest cohesive competitive Big Mountain Freeskiing tours in the history of the sport, with the Subaru USFS featuring an unprecedented six stops. With two new locations added to the already impressive roll-call of resorts, both tours culminate at the ultimate big mountain competition venue of Alyeska Resort, Alaska, in April.

JUNIORS! We have a list of comps for ages 12-17 that are available for you to compete and gain valuable experience. Come Celebrate our sport as we begin another season of competitive freeskiing around the globe.

Other events and dates will be added over the next couple weeks and look for special news about events near you(i.e. Crystal Mt., Taos, Crested Butte, Aspen etc.)

Hello everyone! Summer is almost a wash and I can hardly wait for the Fall. I count less than 100 days till winter and that means its time to prepare for the 2008 IFSA Tour of Freeskiing. We have stops around the globe, including a couple new venues that we will fill you in on as we get closer to the season. Right now you can check out the pre-qualified list. I will have a schedule of events posted soon. The list will be updated with additions after we receive results from New Zealand. I congratulate all the athletes that competed last season to make our tours the best we have ever experienced. You are all amazing athletes and deserve props and recognition. The bar has been raised over the past few years and to do well in these events is an outstanding achievement. We love these events and what you all bring to our world of Freeskiing. You are the heroes!
